Many industry insiders and enthusiasts say it is a miracle Aston Martin still-stands until today. Although this observation seems rather harsh, considering its history, this is-more than true. From its humble beginnings as the brainchild of mechanics Lionel Martin and Robert-Banford, the company changed ownership so many times it probably seized to be profitable for some-time. However, Aston Martin persisted, thanks to the amazing sports cars they have produced over the-years.

The very core of Aston Martin began during the early 1910s, with Lionel and-Robert’s initiative to penetrate the market after selling cars for Singer. After a series of-problems and roadblocks due to financial problems, the company was sold to David Brown. He was-perhaps the first owner of the company to produce one of Aston Martin’s most iconic classic-productions, the DB line. The Aston Martin DB helped Brown fully penetrate the sports car industry,-due to its success in the racing world—something the previous owner of the company failed to-do.

Eventually, Aston Martin reached the hands of the automobile powerhouse Ford in the-late 1990s. Under Ford, Aston Martin created cars that reflected the beauty of the company’s-previous creations, such as the widely successful Aston Martin DB7 (released in-2003).

Although Ford eventually sold Aston Martin in 2006, the renowned car manufacturer-indeed proved to the world that it has earned its place in the automobile industry especially after-all its has gone through in the span of almost 100 years creating great classic cars.
